Paul Motley

Paul qualified as a Solicitor in 1977.

Paul trained as an Articled Clerk with Chattertons in Lincolnshire before joining the practice (then called Hooper & Fletcher) in 1979.

Paul became a Partner in 1981 and has been involved as a sole or co-owner of the practice since that time.

Paul is presently the Sole Proprietor and has been since 2012.

Paul’s work is almost exclusively related to all aspects of Child Care Law, in respect of which he has over 30 years’ experience. Paul is on the Law Society Children Law Panel and has been since 1986.

Paul has been involved in the significant cases of In Re S (FC) In Re S and Others In Re W and Others (First Appeal) (FC) In Re W and Others (Second Appeal) (Conjoined Appeals) before the House of Lords in 2002   and Re S 2009 EWHC 2015.

 

Robin Francis

Robin joined the Practice in 1996 and qualified in 1998.

Robin has been on The Law Society’s Children Law Panel since 2014 .

Robin is accredited by Resolution as a Specialist Family Lawyer in particular specialism in child law (private) and complex financial remedies.

Robin is a Member of the Law Society and Bedfordshire Law Society.

Robin specialises in family work and employment and has over 20 years of experience in both areas of law. Since his achieving accreditation as a children Panel member, Robin’s area of practice have expanded into child care law.

Robin is a School Governor at Goldington Academy and Goldington Green Academy.

 

Teresa McCutcheon

Teresa was born in and lives in Biggleswade.

Teresa joined the Practice in 1991. She trained and qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2000.

Teresa specialises in Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Teresa is a Member of the Law Society’s ‘Private Client Section’ which is the community for practitioners in wills, probate, financial and tax planning, trusts, mental capacity and estate administration.

Teresa has been instrumental in the practice being accredited under the Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme since 2004.

Stephen Frith

Stephen lives locally and has done so for almost 30 years.

Stephen qualified in 1982 and joined Motley & Hope in 1996, having worked as a commercial property Solicitor in London and locally. Stephen has considerable local knowledge that he can apply to local transactions.

Stephen heads the Property Department and specialises in both residential and commercial property transactions.

Stephen is a Member of the Law Society and Bedfordshire Law Society

Debbie Matthews

Debbie was born in and lives in Biggleswade which provides her with extensive knowledge of the area.

Debbie joined the Practice in 1991 having worked in London, dealing with mortgages and re-mortgages for a major Lender from 1989.

Debbie has operated as a conveyancing Fee Earner in her own right at the practice since the mid- 1990’s.

Debbie is a fellow of the Institute of Paralegals and a qualified Paralegal.

Debbie holds an LPQ in Conveyancing.

Debbie has been instrumental in the practice being accredited under the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme since 2014.
